Ví dụ lệnh trên được chạy trên nền tảng CentOS 6 mà bạn gặp phải thì do bạn đang cài nhiều hơn 1 phiên bản python. Với YUM của CentOS chỉ làm việc được với python2.6. Ví dụ đây là thông báo lỗi của mình:

Please install a package which provides this module, or

Cách xử lý bạn cần remove symbolic link do quá trình cài đặt bản python mới hơn tự động ghi đè.

rm /usr/local/lib/libcurl.so.4
Sau đó chạy lệnh để tạo lại symbolic link về file libcurl.so ban đầu

ln -s /usr/lib64/libcurl.so.4.1.1 /usr/local/lib/libcurl.so.4
